When you arrived at Victory Lane Camp this year, you could hear it before you saw it. Laughter filled the campground, parents sharing stories, and children running, playing in puddles, and discovering new adventures together. 

At beautiful Mahoning Valley Campground, families who had only met the day before quickly began to feel like they had known each other for years. That is the heart of Victory Lane. Because of your generosity, families with and without children with disabilities were able to come together, build friendships, and experience a community where everyone belongs. 

This year brought a special kind of joy. Many of our campers were between the ages of two and eight, giving us the opportunity to watch some of our youngest camper’s experience inclusion in the most natural way. They didn’t see differences or disabilities they simply saw another kid they could play with, laugh with, and explore alongside. 

From flying down the mudslide to launching homemade rockets, the kids spent the weekend doing what kids do best: having fun, trying new things, and making friends. But the impact of camp went far beyond the activities. Parents found connection with others who understood their experiences. Children discovered new friendships. Families experienced what it feels like to truly be welcomed. 

That’s why Victory Lane Camp is more than just a weekend at camp. It is a place where walls come down, friendships begin, and families are reminded that they don’t have to walk alone. Your generosity made that possible.
