The sweet, near-whispered singing of 5-year-old Ruby Ingram brought last year’s Talent Night audience to tears. Ruby, a Victory Kid, invited her Victory Lane Camp friends to join her on stage as she sang her rendition of “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” in a recreated campfire setting.
Ruby’s performance capped off an unforgettable night of magic, comedy, duets, and dancing at the event, considered a highlight of last year’s VLC community activities. Now Talent Night is making a comeback. VLC Talent Night: Act 2 is a fundraising event that will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 3. Watch this year’s stars of Victory Lane Camp shine on stage at the First Baptist Family Life Center (709 S. Memorial Drive, New Castle, IN). The event is free, and limited festival seating is available. Spots can be reserved at www.victorylanecamp.org/stars or by calling Tiffanny at 765-591-4191.
The night will be filled with talent acts from our very own Victory Kids. Eva Wolski will be playing an instrument, and Luke Schlink is going to perform magic tricks. This year’s performance includes the sibling act of Landon and Noah Mace who plan to wow with a scene out of a movie. Alex Mills will be singing a tune. And Johnny Lorton will be joined by some friends to act out a campfire skit.
Included in the evening of stars, the audience will hear stories from the stars’ parents, serving families, and other individuals. Learn about the challenges faced by Victory kids and their families, connections made within Victory Lane Camp, and the growth and future of VLC.
“Victory Lane Camp is writing a new story,” expressed Tiffanny Youngquist, VLC Assistant Director. “As we continue to focus on connecting with families who have children with disabilities, a new chapter is being written for these families. Come and learn more about what’s ahead for this community and support the new story!”
Much like last year’s event, the performers will be celebrated after the show. All are invited to the party following the event. Meet and congratulate the stars and their families and enjoy some ice cream. Don’t miss a chance to see the stars of VLC! Reserve your seat now at www.VictoryLaneCamp.org/stars.
